Ms Wilding has bene a strong industry advocate for women. She was on the very first board of Women in Film and TV in Australia. In Hollywood and America Ms Wilding stood up against the casting couch and publicly, and this has been on record for well over two decades. Ms Wilding was also part of the early movement about the lack of opportunities and shortage of female directors. In 2014, with clear evidence in hand, Ms. Wilding spoke out in the industry clearly and strongly about the movie fan site IMDB, and the fact it’s StarMeter system uses subjective and flawed algorithms and therefore presents flawed data to both public and industry professionals.
